Resonant World #100
To celebrate Resonant World’s 100th post, I’m expanding my offer of free Tarot micro-readings to include the first 10 people who respond to this email — this time you don’t have to be a member of the Resonance Council (paid subscriber) to qualify.
No question is too big for the Tarot!
Please feel free to reply to this email if you would like to consult the cards, and I will respond as soon as possible. The more precise the question, the clearer the answer.
I’ve loved the new connections that have grown out of the half dozen readings I’ve done for members of the Resonance Council so far, and it’s been inspiring to learn about people’s diverse, healing-oriented and creative projects. (More on that in the short audio I recorded above, where I share some of the excitement and intentionality I’m experiencing through our evolving community).
Special Mixed Gathering of the Resonant Man on Sunday
I’m glad to report that we have a lot of interest building in this Sunday’s session of the Resonant Man, open to men and women, where we’ll be exploring the theme Finding Integrity in Relationship.
After hosting three deep sessions for men since June, my co-facilitator Jacob Kishere and I are anticipating this first mixed gathering will offer a particularly rich field of listening and exchange — at a time when it’s needed in the culture.
As usual, the session will include a space-opening meditation, and a combination of big-group and small-group dialogue.
Date: Sunday, August 4
Time: 7pm BST (11am PST / 2pm EST / 8pm CEST). Session lasts 90 minutes.
Thank you to all those who’ve already registered, and if you’d like to attend, you can register for free by clicking here:
Climate Consciousness Summit 2024
I’m delighted to be serving alongside Pocket Project CEO Kosha Joubert as one of the co-hosts of this year’s Climate Consciousness Summit, which will run online from November 15-21 during the UN COP29 climate talks in Azerbaijan.
DeSmog, the climate investigations newsroom where I work as an editor, is one of the summit partners, which represents a great opportunity for cross-fertilisation between the global climate movement, and the movement of practitioners working to heal individual, inter-generational and collective trauma. (I wrote some thoughts about what the climate world can learn from trauma healing for DeSmog here).
And if you think there’s somebody we should invite to be a guest, I’d welcome your suggestions. I see this gathering as more than a summit; it’s an alchemical crucible for generating high-impact insights, connections and initiatives, and I’m excited to infuse it with the collective intelligence of Resonant World.
Learning from the Land at Pitchcott Farm
Genevieve, Matilda and I were lucky enough to spend a few idyllic days at Pitchshift, a micro-festival convened by Tony Langford at his incredible Pitchcott Farm in Buckinghamshire last week. If you’re in the UK, do consider a visit — it’s a magical place, in more ways than I can describe. I tried to capture some of the experience here:
Note from the Editor: Resonant World is written in the gaps between work I get paid to do, notably editing investigations at nonprofit climate news service DeSmog. It’s a huge boost when people become paid subscribers, and support of any amount affirms that my mission to serve the global community of trauma healing practitioners has value. Thank you!
