I also came to the conclusion that re-establishing the mind-body connection is not enough to be truly "holistic", and we need to widen it out the mind-body-relational domain. No healthy and well man can be an island.
Would Warren Farrell's book "The Boy Crises" be relevant here?

Boys are growing up with less-involved fathers and are more likely to drop out of school, drink, do drugs, become delinquent, and end up in prison.
