Resonant World #119
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been using Resonant World’s sister publication
as a platform to explore my long process of integrating my exhilarating and ultimately disheartening experience as a climate correspondent at Reuters. (Links to the two key stories below).I started out filled with idealism, and ended up quitting, convinced that my continued participation at Reuters made me complicit in the system that’s driving climate collapse, and still refuses to confront it — despite adopting a veneer of concern.
That writing process has helped me prepare for the workshop I’m co-facilitating with climate psychologist Steffi Bednarek at The Conduit in London this Saturday to support a small group of professionals to explore their own inner conflicts in relation to their organisation’s response — or lack of — to the crisis.
It’s been amazing to see how much interest this offering has generated — as gauged by responses to our Linkedin posts. By naming a dilemma that so many people are experiencing — but are effectively banned from voicing in their workplaces — we appear to have touched on a major collective trauma field.
I see our workshop as a step towards surfacing that invisible layer of contradiction sitting in the midst of our culture, and supporting more people to discern how this layer lives in their own mind-body system.
If you’re interested in joining us on Saturday, we still have a few spots left — you can find out more and book here. Do drop me a line if you have any questions; I’d love it if some more Resonant World readers were able to join at the last minute.
An Invitation to Resonant Men
Likewise, I’m excited at how the Resonant Man initiative co-created by
and I has been developing in the last month. We’ve been meeting every Sunday with a group of committed men, and the space has already acquired a degree of coherence that’s allowing us to witness and be witnessed in our individual journeys with a level of depth I find highly enriching. If any man is interested in joining us, please drop me a line or comment below to find out more. We’re keen to invite at least a few more men dedicated to their own and each other’s evolution to join us in the coming weeks. There’s more about what we’ve been exploring below, and this coming month will be dedicated to deepening our practice of Dialogos — transformative dialogue based on deep listening, flow, field dynamics and emergence.
Note from the Editor: It’s a big boost when people become paid subscribers, and support of any amount energises my mission to serve the global movement to heal individual, ancestral and collective trauma. Thank you!
Good luck with workshop. It’s important.
