Invitation To A Unique Gathering
An opportunity to work with an epoch-making astrological transit.
Resonant World #22
Ever since discovering Richard Tarnas’ monumental work Cosmos and Psyche, I’ve been fascinated with archetypal astrology — and the correspondences between planetary alignments and historical upheavals.
I suspect that there’s huge scope for cross-fertilisation between archetypal astrology and collective trauma work — though exploring that frontier will have to remain one of the many aspirational Resonant World sub-projects for now.
Meanwhile, I wanted to let you know about a truly unique offering from my friends Roberta Boyce and J Dallas Gudgell, who will be collaborating virtually from their respective bases in London, UK, and Boise, Idaho, to offer guided meditations aligned with Pluto’s transit into Aquarius, which starts on March 23. (Details here).
Before I come to the astrology, a word about Roberta and Dallas, and the role they have played in my journey of working with collective trauma.
Higher Frequencies
I’ve known Roberta for five years, and have attended countless group meditation sessions she’s led, and an amazing retreat on the border with Wales. I’ve come to treasure her ability to support me to unfold ever subtler levels of my inner experience — and to access the insights hosted in these spaces. Roberta is a formidable conduit for some seriously high frequencies, and I’m grateful for her help in developing the capacity for subtle sensing that is fundamental to collective healing work.
Likewise, though I’ve never met Dallas in person, we got to know each other through a mutual friend remotely during the pandemic, and he has radically deepened my awareness of the collective trauma imprints of racial and environmental injustice. I have felt enormously privileged to learn from Dallas about indigenous cosmology and Dakota ceremony, and to have many times experienced his own potent style of space-holding. We recorded a podcast exploring these themes — and the indigenous notion that “healing happens in the dark.”
It was especially rewarding to introduce Dallas and Roberta a couple of years back — and I’ve been delighted to see their collaboration flourish. I plan to attend the session they’re offering on Sunday, March 26 as an alternative to the initial session on Thursday March 23. (Precise times and booking details here).
You can watch Dallas and Roberta in conversation below.
Pluto In Aquarius
I’m no expert in astrology, but Roberta explains that Pluto’s transit through Aquarius, which ends in June, will give us a taste of what’s in store once Pluto re-enters Aquarius in 2024, drops anchor, and stays until 2044. The last time Pluto began sailing the waters of Aquarius was 1777, the era of the Industrial Revolution and The French Revolution, and plenty more revolutions besides.
Roberta says the guided meditation will help us to courageously embrace change during this super-charged celestial moment — and orient more confidently through what follows.
I can think of few better ways to mark a personal transition than setting aside 90 minutes to enter the field Roberta and Dallas will be holding. And if you decide to join the session on Sunday, March 26, I’ll see you there.
