This March, Jacob made a commitment in The Resonant Man men’s circle to be completely free of pornography for one-year.

Writing Into Places That Struggle to Speak
In February, Lori Shridhare, a friend of Resonant World and member of the Resonance Council of core supporters, published the stunning poem Witness. Target = Rubble.
Building on that poem, Lori is hosting an inspiring event with Kosha Joubert, chief executive of the Pocket Project, exploring how creative writing can be both a meditation and an offering to our sacred world.
Lori and Kosha write:
“What happens in the midst of mass tragedy in the moments when the bombs strike and life breaks open? These unspeakable horrors are both unbearable and often hidden from a witnessing eye. Is it possible that even through the suffering and death, we can give voice to the words calling forth from these moments? How does the “I” sense, attune to, and communicate with — and within — these situations? In this conversation we will explore the possibility that consciousness, intimacy, and a field of awareness can be accessed through the power of the word.”

Climate Change and the Imagination
How does climate change feature in the imagination and how might we imagine ways to address contemporary ecological and social challenges?
My great friend and collaborator
’s Centre for Climate Psychology is convening a dialogue exploring these questions with Dr Rowan Williams, Alice Oswald and Dr Valentin Gerlier, hosted by Alan Boldon. (You can see my conversation with Steffi on the Resonant World podcast).Questions will include: Is the climate crisis also an aesthetic crisis? Are we suffering from a scourge of literalism and technocratic idolatry? How might poetry, the imagination and myths help us make sense of our contemporary situation and challenges?
